Hi everyone. What a wonderful couple of weeks it has been. Appreciate what you have people…

Some things in life don’t happen exactly when you want it to happen. But, then – it happens and it’s such a blessing. Time is so precious I sometimes wonder why I am n  such a hurry. I have to keep reminding myself to stop and smell the roses and just relax. I guess that’s a trait that I’ve been working on for years. I think I’m closer to perfecting it but I’m on my road to success. so I know its going to take awhile. I enjoy doing what I”m doing. I enjoy working with the people around me. I can’t thank God enough for what He has done to make my dreams come true. Everyday I thank Him – because without Him I wouldn’t be where I am today. Jesus is so amazing PEOPLE! You don’t have to agree with me but goodness it makes me so HAPPY to just thank him for so many of His blessings on my life and my family’s lives.

Moving on, it really makes me mad when people are counting down days to something…especially when its kinda annoying such as “i can’t wait to finish this job only 2 more weeks” or something like that. I mean hey I’m all for freedom of speech but if you don’t like what you’re doing now then that says a lot about you as a person and your job selection. Why are you even saying it – maybe that profession isn’t for you!!!  Maybe you need to be quiet and find something else to occupy your life with instead of something people dream and wish for.  Sorry for the little rant but its true. Why do people put themselves through “misery” it seems and complain. Just stop and go do something else. It makes me so upset – but I can’t sweat the small stuff. It’s their life but ugh -keep your poor attitude away from me and go fix it!

I feel very strongly about Guantanamo Bay - especially about people’s awareness and the ignorance that fuels a lot of people’s misconceptions of the prison and its people.

- is this how we treat humans that are innocent until proven guilty? -

Tomorrow, April 16, the American people may finally get a chance to see secret legal memos prepared by the Bush administration to justify the CIA’s illegal torture program.

Under an agreement with the ACLU, the Obama administration is now considering the release of four memos written by the Bush Justice Department, in 2002 and 2005, that were used by the Bush administration to provide legal cover for its abusive interrogation techniques.

Click this link to watch a new ACLU video about the secret memos, and the need for the Justice Department to appoint an independent prosecutor to conduct a thorough investigation of torture crimes.

We have a right to know how the Bush administration circumvented the law and justified violating human rights. Americans should never be afraid of learning the truth about their government.

Thank you for supporting this fight for accountability.

Hey

The meaning of Easter – What does it mean to you?

The meaning of Easter is Jesus Christ’s victory over death. His resurrection symbolizes the eternal life that is granted to all who believe in Him. The meaning of Easter also symbolizes the complete verification of all that Jesus preached and taught during His three-year ministry. If He had not risen from the dead, if He had merely died and not been resurrected, He would have been considered just another teacher or Rabbi. However, His resurrection changed all that and gave final and irrefutable proof that He was really the Son of God and that He had conquered death once and for all.

However, Easter did not always symbolize Christ’s resurrection from the dead and the meaning of Easter was quite different than what Christians celebrate today. The feast day of Easter was originally a pagan celebration of renewal and rebirth. Celebrated in the early spring, it honored the pagan Saxon goddess Eastre. When the early missionaries converted the Saxons to Christianity, the holiday, since it fell around the same time as the traditional memorial of Christ’s resurrection from the dead, was merged with the pagan celebration, and became know as Easter. The meaning of Easter was also changed to reflect its new Christian orientation.

Today, the meaning of Easter, for million of Christians, is that of honoring and recognizing Jesus Christ’s resurrection from the dead, and His glorious promises of eternal life for all who believe in Him.

“I don’t understand how a woman can leave the house without fixing herself up a little – if only out of politeness. And then, you never know, maybe that’s the day she has a date with destiny. And it’s best to be as pretty as possible for destiny.” – Coco Chanel

She knew what she was talking about!
