There is a path that lies before us which we feel compelled to follow. It is the path to peace. As we take each step we see, to our amazement, that every rock and boulder, every branch and twig has been cleared and our way is smooth and easy. The birds sing their songs with pure joy and a gentle breeze smooths our brow. The scent of pine fills our senses from the surrounding woods. We feel every muscle loosen and relax like a rope unwinding. We find a grassy spot to rest and quench our thirst from a nearby stream of crystal water flowing freely. We have no needs or wants. We have no attachments or fears. We feel no resistance to anything. There is nothing here upon this path, put pure peace. And since it is our path, it is easy to follow and when it ends, it ends in sunshine. It ends in a meadow filled with flowers and there is everyone else ready to greet us with laughter, recognition of our truth and pure joy which we gladly mingle with theirs. And still we are in the world as before only now it is a happy world of abundance and health and well being, a world defined by peaceful thoughts, a world of joining and oneness, a world created by the Universe that lives right beside the dark, dim world we thought was our home, but isn’t. And all God asks of us to see and to experience this loving world is to turn our face toward the light and follow our path.

![]() Twilight Book – hardcover I first heard of this book when I was watching The View one summer. Whoopi Goldberg was saying how she was reading it as she interviewed a young actress. I quickly Googled it and I got my copy of Twilight.I read it in 2 weeks – I couldn’t put it down. I know 2 weeks is lame but hey I had life in the way. I’ve always loved the stories of Vampires so I was sold. When I first got the book I was like woah this is thick…I started reading it and it was boring and really slow – soon after I couldn’t put it down. I fell inlove with the character Edward I mean who wouldn’t. Granted the writing aspect of Meyer wasn’t that great I felt like I was reading a R.L. Stein novel…instead of a young adult novel. But, I remembered my age and also who the books were written for young kids. Kinda. I strongly believe no one under the age of 13 should be reading these books. They’re way too emotional and this aspect of love and relationships, anger and such is not something that should be instilled in a young child. I was very shocked when I would see kids that looked younger that 10 picking up the books and reading it. I mean hey I’m all for literacy but there are other books these kids should be reading. —————————————————————————————-When seventeen-year-old Isabella “Bella” Swan leaves her beloved mother Renee, whom she has lived with alone ever since she was a baby, after Renee and her husband Charlie Swan were divorced, at the airport leaving Phoenix for the small town of Forks, Washington, in the incredibly cloud and rainy Olympic Peninsula to live with Charlie, she expects to completely hate it. Bella is only leaving her mother because Renee recently married Phil, a small-league baseball player, and wants to give them time alone while they are in Florida. Bella has memories of vacationing for a month each summer in Forks with Charlie, and those memories are not exactly fond, especially because of the constant wetness, slipperiness, and the never-ending sheets of rain pouring down on the town. When she comes to Charlie’s home, seeing the pictures of Renee, she realizes her father never really got over her. And it does not exactly help Bella’s already-wracked nerves about her first day at a new school tomorrow at Forks High School. Upon completely half of her first day at school, Bella befriends chatty Jessica Stanley, quiet Angela Weber, and the puppy-dog follower Mike Newton. At lunch in the cafeteria, Bella notices five strange, pale, and inhumanly beautiful teenagers sitting together, isolated from the rest of the students, not eating anything. Jessica explains to Bella that they are Edward Cullen, Emmett Cullen, Alice Cullen, Jasper Hale, and Rosalie Hale, who have been adopted by Dr. Carlisle Cullen, a handsome stud of a doctor in his twenties, and his wife Esme. But is the noticeably attractive Edward that truly catches Bella’s eye. But in her presence, Edward cannot seem to stand being around Bella. His brow furrows, his eyes alight with fury, a vein pulses heatedly in his temple, and he gets extremely angry. Hurt, Bella believes he despises her. But it is not the case. As Bella and Edward get reacquainted and get closer and comfier with each other, Bella discovers that Edward and the rest of his “family” have a shocking dark secret—they are all vampires. But all the famous beliefs about vampires are not true: stakes, holy water, garlic, and crosses cannot harm them, and they do not burn in the sunlight, they only sparkle brilliantly. Edward at first appeared so furious near Bella because he was so fiercely attracted to the scent of very being, and the smell of her blood, that he could hardly contain himself. It was even more desirous because the family, lead by Carlisle, have vowed to never feast upon human blood. They only hunt animals. But, near Bella, Edward could barely control his bloodthirsty vampire instincts. But, contrary to Edward’s expectations, Bella is not afraid of Edward and his family because they are vampires, and the possibility that he could so easily and quickly kill Bella in an instant. Instead, she is passionately and utterly in love and attracted to him—his cold marble skin, his icy eyes that change color depending on his mood, his cool reassuring breath… Bella is devastated at the very prospect of Edward leaving her. She does not believe that she could ever survive without after the touch of his hand on her skin, the desperate exhilaration of his lips upon hers, the real safety she feels when in his cold arms. She wishes to spend her entire lifetime with him, an eternity rather, and, as danger and terror surrounded Edward and Bella’s romance, they will discover more things about themselves, their surroundings, and the meaning of true love. In an incredibly impressive debut, author Stephenie Meyer writes an eloquent novel of two star-crossed lovers’ journey through horror, desire, passion, love, jealousy, and near-fatal experiences. In a story that desperately begs for a sequel, Bella, Edward, and all the other colorful characters in the novel—especially Carlisle and Alice, in my opinion—come to life. The danger is real, the love rings true, and the passion between Bella and Edward is near-orgasmic. This young adult novel will definitely readily appeal to interested adults, as well. In the words of Stephenie Meyer herself, this is a vampire novel for people who do not particularly enjoy vampire novels. And believe me, this is an accurate statement, for I have never considered myself fond of vampire books, except for some Anne Rice here or there, and I fell in love with this book as easily as Bella and Edward did with each other. This is a darkly beautiful love story sure to stay in the readers’ minds and never fade away. SOURCE: By E.G. Matthews “An Avid Reader” (Ohio, USA) Highly recommended! I was so thrilled when I heard they were making a movie next thing I knew this whole saga was picking up storm and I was already reading New Moon….and Eclipse…. ![]() Twilight Poster Twilight movie and lets just say that I was impressed at some parts then very unimpressed with the others. I realize that no, they can’t make everything the same, but you should get pretty damn close to the original thing or don’t even bother calling it Twilight. You’ll just put everyone to shame as what happened in the movie. Tons of people were there obviously and I can’t help but wonder if they all thought that the movie was actually great. It wasn’t in fact. It was decent, I’m not going to lie, but it was terrific. The acting for Edward was done great! As for Bella, ………….goodness Kristen needs acting lessons. It was terrible – laughable! I didn’t understand how they could just let her act like a moron on screen and at the same time, there were parts in there where I couldn’t help but wonder what the director was on when she thought that was okay. Seriously, if you’re going to have Bella freak out about Edward telling her to leave, make it more convincing instead of making if so fake and as if she were reading from cue-cards. Another thing that I was impressed with was Alice and Jasper. Dead on with them I thought. They created Alice just as I envisioned her along with Jasper, though I have to question what the hell was going through the directors mind when she thought that Jaspers hair looked fine. I did laugh though, when Jessica was telling Bella about the Cullens and how Jasper was the one who always looked in pain. That was funny as hell, I’m not even going to lie, but at some points he looked a little awkward, though I suppose that’s Jasper for you. Speaking of awkward, where was the romance in the movie. Yeah there were scenes of Bella and Edward kissing but other then that, none. There were more awkward scenes between Bella and Edward then there was romance. I’m not sitting on my ass watching two people stare at each other, I want to see more romance as the book portrays it. As I watched the movie, I saw that they had at least 3 or 4 parts where we just watched Bella and Ed cast ward interact, but there was no sound, it was just like, time passing by before our eyes. Yes, I understand that you need to make it look like the characters are getting more comfortable with each other, but it started to get boring and very very lame after the second time. I didn’t spend money to watch a movie where they showed the characters interact, I want to actually have them talk and not just see cheesy shots of them. I looked up many different opinions on the Twilight movie this morning and I got a bunch of variety. Here’s my thought, it didn’t suck ass but it didn’t rock hard core either. It was so-so. Again, I know they can’t put everything into it and that they left out so much, its Hollywood. What was everyone expecting? I’m just happy that they didn’t massacre the book entirely. I did very much enjoy seeing Stephenie Meyer in her own movie, even though it was only 3 seconds.
As for those girls last night who only started reading Twilight because Robert Pattinson was playing Edward, I think thats just sick but hey whatever makes literacy get big. I do have a strong opinion that the book/saga is not meant for kids younger than 13….there is just too much…young adult situations that a 9 year old could never comprehend. I wish they picked a better director. I wish they picked a better Bella but oh well. I like the movie twilight. I know it wasn’t made entirely well. But, I love that love this cover I got to see my favourite characters come to life. I love the fact I started reading twilight before everyone else too! When I heard back in the day they were making a movie I was thrilled. I also cannot wait to see New Moon however I will be missing opening day – I plan on dragging someone with me to see it the very next day I get back. Ever since I was a kid I remember I had a big thing on Vampires. I remember watching Vampire High, owning books and taking out books on Vampires when I was a kid. Its amazing what is the new trend now. Vampire Love stories. But, hey that’s great because that is what I was into wince I was a kid hahaa. Would I recommend seeing the Twilight Movie? Yes of course, just don’t expect perfection. Jul 22 2009 The sweetest sounds I’ll ever hear are still inside my head.Posted by: soulistic in Faith, Relationships, tags: Bob Marley, quotations
Bob Marley – Waiting In Vain
I don’t wanna wait in vain for your love; I don’t wanna wait in vain for your love; Everyone says that love hurts but that’s not true. Lonlines hurts; rejection hurts. Losing someone hurts, envy hurts, everyone gets these things confused with love, but in reality, love it the only thing in this world that covers up all the pain and makes someone feel wonderful again – Twilight I’m selfish, impatient and a little insecure. The sweetest sounds I’ll ever hear are still inside my head. The kindest words I’ll ever know are waiting to be said. The most entrancing sight of all is yet for me to see. And the dearest love in all the world is waiting somewhere for me. - Cinderella The truth is everyone is going to end up hurting you, you just got to find the people worth suffering for. -Bob Marley I stared, uncomprehending, into his eyes. He stared back without apology. His eyes were like topaz-hard and clear and very deep. I felt like I could see into them for miles and miles, yet nowhere in their bottomless depths could I see a contradiction to the words he’s spoken. – New Moon Sometimes you need to step outside clear you head and remind yourself who you are and who you want to be and sometimes you’ll venture out of your own world to find yourself. – Gossip Girl |
