I think I’ve brought this up before… maybe, but I still find it interesting since I’m B positive type.

The post below i got from a site which is linked at the bottom. I have to say – I LOVE EATING EVERYTHING ThEY listed that is BAD for me….what a FAIL!

The Type B Diet is balance and wholesome, including a wide variety of foods.

For Type Bs, the biggest factors in weight gain are corn, buckwheat, lentils, peanuts and sesame seeds. These foods have different lectin that affect the efficiency of the metabolic process, resulting in fatigue, fluid retention, and hypoglycemia. The gluten lectin in wheat germ and whole wheat products also adds to the problems cause by other metabolism-slowing foods.

It is important to leave off chicken for Type Bs. Chicken contains a Blood Type B agglutinating lectin in its muscle tissue, which attack the bloodstream and potentially lead to strokes and immune disorders. Type Bs thrive on deep-ocean fish, but should avoid all shellfish. The shellfish contain lectins that are disruptive to the Type B system.

Type B is the only blood type that can fully enjoy a variety of dairy foods. Most nuts and seeds (especially peanuts, sesame seeds and sunflower seeds) are not advised for Type Bs., they contain lectins that interfere with Type B insulin production.

Wheat is not tolerated well by most Type Bs. They contain a lectin that reuce insulin efficiency and failure to stimulate fat “burning”. Rye contains a lectin that settles in the vascular system, causing blood disorders and potentially strokes. Corn and buckwheat are major factors in Type B weight gain, they contribute to a sluggish metabolism, insulin irregularity, fluid retention, and fatigue.

Eliminate tomatoes completely from Type B diet. It has lectins that irritate the stomach lining. Fruits and vegetables are generally well tolerated and should be taken generously.

From an article on WebMD (hover over and click to see the entire article): If you’re blood type O (“for old,” as in humanity’s oldest blood line) your digestive tract retains the memory of ancient times, says D’Adamo, so you’re metabolism will benefit from lean meats, poultry, and fish. You’re advised to restrict grains, breads, and legumes, and to enjoy vigorous exercise. Type A (“for agrarian”) flourishes on vegetarian diets, “the inheritance of their more settled and less warlike farmer ancestors,” says D’Adamo. The type A diet contains soy proteins, grains, and organic vegetables and encourages gentle exercise.

The nomadic blood type B has a tolerant digestive system and can enjoy low-fat dairy, meat, and produce but, among other things, should avoid wheat, corn, and lentils,

D’Adamo says. If you’re type B, it’s recommended you exercise moderately. The “modern” blood type AB has a sensitive digestive tract and should avoid chicken, beef, and pork but enjoy seafood, tofu, dairy, and most produce. The fitness regimen for ABs is calming exercises.

This was a great post I came across. I totally agree! Give it a read!

I was on the forums of Gaia online, looking in the book forum and I saw this post called Real Books for Real Readers. I looked at the topic, to see what it was about. The person who started the topic said that they hadn’t been on Gaia for awhile and recently came back and decided to check out their favorite forum. They said ”Imagine my horror when I saw a circle jerk full of mindless worship of truly abysmal young adult novels and vampire smut.” and then went on to say that the topic is for people who read real books.

This isn’t the first I’ve heard or read a person on a forum say something like that. I had no problem with adult books or classic books and I have read some myself, but it annoys me when people will say you are not a real reader because of reading a young adult book like Harry Potter. It’s just like when I’m told I’m not a real gamer because I’m a female. So now I’m not a real reader either because I like reading young adult books? I don’t have anything against adult books, I have read some adult books, but most I just can’t get into. I’ve never told anyone they weren’t a real reader for reading adult books though. Some of the best books I’ve read are young adult and they are amazing. Like His Dark Materials by Philip Pullman, any book by Diana Wynne Jones, The Outsiders by S.E. Hinton and a book I’ve read more recently called Skeleton Man by Joseph Bruchac. I think it might be considered Children/young adult, but I loved the book. It was really good. Some young adult books may not be good, that is true, but there are good ones out there. It also depends on the person. For example, I liked Hawkes Harbor by S.E. Hinton, where as others didn’t. Just like some ‘Real Books’ aren’t always good.

So is it really that wrong that someone enjoys young adult books or even vampire books? Some classic books are young adult like Anne of Green Gables, The Secret Garden and with vampire books there is Dracula and Carmilla. Is someone going to tell me those aren’t real books too?

I’m not into all the latest vampire books so I haven’t read Twilight or any of the other vampire books. I’ve watched more vampire movies then I have read vampire books, but I’m not going to put someone down for reading vampire books just because I don’t. I think that anyone that reads a lot of books is a real reader, doesn’t matter if it’s young adult, vampire or even manga.

Are young adult and vampire books not ‘real books’?

source!!! so good -Chaingang619
