What does Christmas mean to me? It can mean many things, but for me, particularly, it means one special event that has changed the course of history.

It means that a Holy Child was born in a manger; He was born so He could save Mankind from the dredges of sin.  It is not exactly known exactly when Jesus was born, but people think He wasn’t born on December 25th.  Nevertheless, this is when we celebrate the birth of the Christ Child, so this is why December 25th is called “Christmas”. I have always believed in God, and in Jesus, but when I was in my late teens/early twenties I accepted Jesus as Lord and Saviour.  Christmas has always meant more to me than before I accepted Him in my life. I can now see why Christ was born, and I thank God every day for His son to be born.  What would the world have been like had not Jesus been born??  I often wonder about that, and don’t even want to try to think of the answers. If it wasn’t for Christ, I would have always remained a sinner, and not know the peace, love, joy that only God (or Jesus) can provide.  I would have been separated from His love, and never know the glories of Heaven:  I would have been doomed to a lifetime of suffering, pain, torment in hell, and it would be ten times worse than what I’ve gone through now here on Earth. The world isn’t perfect, and it is getting scarier by the day; however,, I made the decision to accept Jesus, and now I have peace, joy inside, even when I’m going through trials.  Whenever I’m going through things, I can always count on God to get me through them, and He’s always with me; He will never leave or forsake me.  He is with me until the end! I celebrate Christmas as a way of remembering the birth of Christ, and I honor Him by singing the songs that have stood the passage of time, songs that glorify His coming to earth as a Babe in a manger.  Songs like “Silent Night”, “The First Noel”, “Hark! The Herald Angels Sing”, and “O, Holy Night” stir me every time I hear (or sing) them; they never get old or tiresome with me. Christmas not only means the Holy Birth or remembering Him:  to me, it also means family, friends getting together, sharing the love, joy, laughter, good times.  Christmas means presents, yes, but it means so much more to me. It means a time where I can reflect on the year and thank God for everything that He has given me. Next time you hear “O, Holy Night” or “Joy! To The World”, think about that First Night when Christ came to earth as a baby, and the Promise that God held, even in that miraculous event, that would change the course of mankind forever and ever; and the Promise that He will be returning home again to take US to be with Him, forever in Glory!

Kind of makes one feel pretty small, doesn’t it??

On that note, let me wish you the Merriest Christmas everyone, and think about why we REALLY celebrate it!

When Lady Gaga first came out and I heard her first new song I was very UNSURE – about her music. Then it became catchy and something my friends and I would yell out – “PO PO POKER FACE!”. Then after seeing her music videos, and her apperances I can’t lie – She reminded me of Blossom. As Gaga stormed the industry and pursued her love for ART.  I love it! I love the fact that she represents the love for ART and Music and self-expression and wants and has a mission to get that across to her fans and society!I thought WOW it would be amazing for Gaga and Manson to team up. Since Manson represents the same thing. I also think he’s a remarkable individual with so much to say! Highly knowledgeable and eloquent.  THEN….I remember hearing the remix of LOVE GAME ft. Manson! I loved it!!!! I was stoked to hear they did team up: CHeck it out.

I think this is great – when different music genres can come together and harmonize and compliment each other. POP and Industrial METAL !!!

What music means to me?   What a question. Music has a lot of meanings.  I think that music for each person has a different meaning and we should respect those opinions. For me music is an art that I can relate and I hope some day I will have the ability to create it myself (master my own pieces) or at least be able to listen to music for the rest of my life, because without music life will never be complete.  Music is always there when you need it.  Music can bring a lot of emotions like nostalgia, sadness, happiness, joy, etc. Music is a huge part of my life.I am addicted to music. Without music, my day is completely empty and boring. I woke up and the first thing I do is listen to music (when my radio-alarm goes off), when I go to school, when I am at school, when I get to my house, when I workout and when I go to bed I listen to music throughout my day. It has the power to change  my mood. For example if I am in a really bad mood just listening to some music  will help to change my mood or maybe not change it but it will help. Also if  sometime I feel sad, happy, stress or confuse the fist thing that pops into my mind is to listen to some music. Another thing about music is that music is everywhere. Any place you go you can hear music or see people listening to music. For example in a restaurant or at malls there is always music. Also if you go out to a bar, club/ lounge or just a party there is music. When you are in traffic you get to see all people in their cars listening to music or at stress you get to see people with there iPods. The best thing about music is that there is music for every person.  There are a lot of genres of music so each does not matter the person’s personality there is always music for anyone. There are  a lot of genres for example rock, pop, country, jazz, folk, hip hop, reggae, blues etc. The genres I love the most are rap, rock, pop and so many more – it would be a shame if I only picked a few.  As I already told you, I am addicted to music but sometimes music can be  torment to me. There are a lot of different types of genres people may not like even hate. When I hear these comments its sad but to each their own. I don’t think we should label a genre as being  bad. Musicians spend a lot of them time and effort in creating their art, I personally don’t think its right to stike-off a genre. Maybe songs. Some songs – I DON”T GET and will probably never understand…so move on.To me music is much more than  a few minutes of instrument combining together to make a song. Music is much more than that. The type of music you like reflects on your life, your interests, maybe even your beliefs. I know that no matter what I will always have music. I may be rich, poor, sad, or the happiest person in the world I will always have music. Music is life and life is music. I LOVE MUSIC!
