What happens when a global pop icon teams up with the coolest international cosmetics brand? Hello Kitty x M·A·C!

Glamour girls and fashionistas everywhere rejoice as Sanrio and M·A·C Cosmetics are thrilled to introduce M·A·C Hello Kitty, a limited edition collection of cosmetics and accessories.

Launching in February 2009, the M·A·C Hello Kitty Colour Collection features cosmetics inspired both by Hello Kitty’s fantastical aura and the glamour of the spring fashion shows. The fanciful range of colour, finishes, glitter and shine will add glam and sparkle to your cosmetic bag.

Also launching in February 2009, this season’s most sought-after collectibles will no doubt be the M·A·C Hello Kitty Accessory Collection. Items include a vanity case, two make-up bags, tote bag, compact mirror, mirrored key clip, beaded bracelet, and 14” M·A·C Hello Kitty plush.

Keeping with the razzle-dazzle attitude, M·A·C will introduce the exclusive Hello Kitty Kouture Collection, featuring limited-edition, glittering Swarovski crystal items in March 2009.

In celebration of this collaboration, M·A·C has taken it to the next stylish level by inviting 30 internationally renowned designers to create one-of-a-kind pieces inspired by Hello Kitty. The creations include both avant-garde and classical creations; from smart cocktail frocks to Hello Kitty couture swimwear. They will be auctioned off on eBay, with all proceeds benefiting The Museum at The Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT) in New York.

The M·A·C Hello Kitty Colour Collection is now available at USA M·A·C locations and maccosmetics.com. Select pieces from the M·A·C Hello Kitty Accessories Collection are also available at Sanrio Luxe in New York City and Sanrio Ala Moana, HI and San Francisco, CA boutique stores. The Hello Kitty Kouture Collection will be available in select M·A·C locations and at Sanrio Luxe in March 2009.
